Response Settings

Click the gear icon (⚙️) next to the webhook URL to open the response settings panel. You can configure:

Status Code

Set the HTTP status code returned to the webhook sender. Common values:

  • 200 — OK (default)
  • 201 — Created
  • 204 — No Content
  • 400 — Bad Request (simulate an error)
  • 401 — Unauthorized
  • 500 — Internal Server Error (test retry behavior)

Content-Type

Choose the content type of the response:

  • text/plain — Plain text (default)
  • application/json — JSON response
  • text/html — HTML content
  • application/xml — XML content

Response Body

Enter custom content to return. Examples:

// For application/json:
{"status": "received", "message": "Webhook processed successfully"}

// For text/plain:
OK

// For text/html:
<h1>Webhook Received</h1>

Response Delay

Add a delay (in milliseconds) before the response is sent. Useful for testing:

  • Timeout handling: Set to 5000ms to test if your sender handles slow responses.
  • Retry logic: Combine with error status codes to test retry behavior.

Maximum delay: 10,000ms (10 seconds).

CORS Headers

When enabled (default), the endpoint sends permissive CORS headers, allowing browser-based JavaScript to call the webhook URL. Disable if you want to test CORS-related issues.
